2014 Ranking of The Most Visited Museums in The World

In the ranking of 2014 the Louvre remains the most visited museum in the world, reaching nearly 10 million visitors a year. Despite the primacy of both the famous museum in Paris, the European capital that places more museums in the top positions is London, with four museums in the top ten compiled by The Art Newspaper.

The list of the most visited art museums in the world after the Louvre is the British Museum with 6.6 million visitors, followed closely by the National Gallery conquering a position bypassing the Met in New York.
