  4. The Forbidden City: The palace is painted in yellow and red and is famous for its elegant design, 8,000 rooms, and golden roofs. This World Cultural Heritage palace perfectly demonstrates the ancient Chinese architecture and culture. This palace city was once forbidden from entering by ordinary people, and hence the name.

  6. The Terracotta Army: The buried Terracotta Warriors of Xi'an is one of the greatest discoveries in China's archaeological history. Being the eighth wonder of the world, it now forms the largest underground museum to display mighty life-size terracotta figures.
