Gateway of India: Constructed during 20th century, the Gateway of India carries great aesthetic importance and is one of the most famous tourist spot. The structure is almost 25 meter high and 15 meter wide. The structure is flanked by Arabian sea on one side & popular Taj Hotel on the other. If you are looking for some adventure, take a ferry ride apart from admiring this mammoth structure.
Elephanta Caves: Located right in the middle of Mumbai harbor, this little island is a UNESCO world heritage site. You will find several cave temples in the island. These caves were built sometime around 10th century and is renowned for its antique sculptures. And if you are a devotee of Lor Shiva, you'll surely love the place. The biggest temple in the island contains a 6 meters tall statue of Sadhashiva.
The Haji Ali Mosque: This religious site is located 500 yards from the shoreline. The mosque is almost 400 year old and famous for it's intricate indo-islamic architecture. Haji ali dargah is one of the most famous place that flooded with huge number of tourists every year.
Juhu Beach: Located in the northern edge of Mumbai, Juhu beach is a famous place to hangout. Generally visitors come here to enjoy the beautiful sunset in the Arabian sea. The beach is crowded during weekend and you can enjoy a horse ride or try some panipuri while here. Juhu beach is also s hot-spot for elite celebrity homes and you might find some of them here.
Essel World: If you are looking for some fun activities with friends and family, head to essel world. This is the biggest amusement park in India and offers various rides for every age group. Some of the popular rides include roller coaster & adventure themes. The summer season makes the place over crowded with people looking for water fun activities.
