A Developing Religious City Of Tamil Nadu – Hosur

Hosur is a town of Tamil Nadu and it is known for its manufacturing industries. Hosur has a deep-seated history. It was initially under the Mysore Kingdom, then Tipu Sultan and later the British took over the charge. A small town with a hillock on the backdrop makes the area look beautiful. The relaxed atmosphere of the town calls for an ideal holiday. Hosur is often dubbed as the paradise of the religious, as it is the home to many temples. The wonderful greenery and the spectacular waterfalls will add colours to your trip. Hosur is the gateway to Karnataka. This town houses the very famous TVS motor company factory. It is an industrial town filled with abundant greenery and temples is a popular place for a weekend trip in South India. But slowly and steadily, it is gaining a National fame. Now tourists from all over the country visit and explore the amazing unspoilt beauty of Hosur. Hosur hotels are mostly present in the city centre and near to the highway. As it is one of the major pilgrimage centres of Tamil Nadu and an important industrial town, the city is widely visited by people with the different purpose. Hosur Tourism

Hosur has a private airfield but Bengaluru International airport which is about 80 km is the approaching airport from Hosur. Bangalore is well-linked with other major cities of the country. Hosur has its own railway station and it is on the New Delhi- Coimbatore line. It is connected by New Delhi, Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai, Lucknow, Puri, Ahmedabad and Kanyakumari.
Tamil Nadu State Road Transport run buses from various parts of the state. You can also take taxis or cabs to reach Hosur.

Hosur lies between three hills Shiv Malai, Vishnu Malai and Brahma Malai. Arul Migu Maragadhambal Samedha Temple is one of the major attractions of the place. Chandri Choodeswarar Hill Temple, a 1260's AD temple, is located at the hill top. The temple was built by the Hoysala Dynasty King and later it was renovated. Avalappali Dam, 10 km from Hosur is a good place for an evening hangout. You can enjoy the glimpse of different migratory birds as well. The ruins of the ancient replica of the Scottish Kenilworth Castle, Brett's Fort, the Fort of Hosur, etc. are some of the things of attractions in Hosur.
Hosur enjoys a salubrious climate and October to December are the peak season. You can choose from the budget hotels in Hosur as per as your convenience. Few of the hotels also offer a pick and drop service from the nearest railway station. Exploring the city is not a difficult task provided you plan everything before reaching the place.
