This museum was built in memory of the world-renowned nuclear disaster that occurred in 1986 that occurred 100 kilometres away from Kiev. The Chernobyl Museum contains photos of the nuclear explosion and its effects. There are also exhibits of the animals that were mutated as a result of the explosion. The protective gears that were used to put out the fire are also on display at the museum. There are also tributes to the victims of the disaster. Tourists on cheap flights to Kiev should also pay a visit to the Kiev Pechersk Lavra or the Cave Monastery which is one of the most important as well as oldest monasteries in Ukraine and the entire Soviet Union. This is the oldest among the most important monasteries in Ukraine. It was founded by St Antoniv in 1077. The caves in the monastery were dug out by the priests who resided in the monastery as hermits. Today, the caves contain the mummified pilgrims and monks. There is also an underground church located in the caves of the monastery. This is a truly amazing destination for tourists on cheap flights to Kiev.
