Abu Dhabi’s Top Night Spots

Much like its neighbour Dubai, most of Abu Dhabi's best night spots are centred around hotels, so it might seem the city's evening entertainment is quite limited, but actually, Abu Dhabi has an excellent night life. From rooftop bars to charming Middle Eastern venues, there's a whole range of places to spend the evening. For a Sophisticated Ambience

La Cava Wine Bar at Rosewood Hotel is the place to be. It's an underground wine bar decorated lavishly with quirky furniture, a wooden staircase and a chandelier made of silver. Further into the intimate winery is a snug cigar bar with a walk-in cigar room and an extensive whiskey selection. Each Wednesday of the month, expert sommeliers offer wine tasting sessions at La Cava.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 5pm – 1am

For a Relaxed Atmosphere

Hemingway's Bar is a popular pub in Abu Dhabi situated just ten minutes' walk from the city centre. It's a Tex-Mex style venue offering a warm and relaxed ambiance with friendly staff, amazing food, great beer, an extensive drinks selection and TVs showing a range of sports channels. The bar holds quizzes and live performances each week.

Opening Hours: Sun to Wed :4pm – 2am & Thurs to Sat: 12pm – 2am

For a Luxurious Experience

Ray's Bar is an ultra- stylish venue located on level 62 of the Jumeriah at Etihad Towers and there are very few venues that boast such incredible city views. The bar offers a chic atmosphere, intimate settings, superb cocktails and great music as well as Asian Tapas, so you can grab an authentic bite here, too. It's not the cheapest of bars to visit, but it's certainly worth it with the world-class service it provides and a vast range of mixed drinks.

Location: Jumeriah Etihad Towers Hotel, Corniche, Abu Dhabi

Opening hours: 5pm – 3am

For a Cosy and Casual Hangout

The Belgian Beer Cafe is a unique bar that showcases 1920's Belgium and serves drinks in a classic European setting. There's a casual drinking atmosphere here so you can visit whatever the occasion. The Belgian Beer Cafe has a great selection of Belgian beers, bottled and draught, served in proper glassware. The quirky venue also serves a wide selection of Belgian inspired dishes including waffles and chunky chips.

Location: Intercontinental Hotel, Bainuna Street, Abu Dhabi

Opening times: 4pm-1am (2am close Weds to Fri)
