All About Gujarat

Situated on the West coastline of India, Gujarat is also a doorway to the amusing northern and center purlieu of the country. Gujarat has been the bystander of change following the ideology which believes that “Future of India belongs to Gujarat. With the inherent strength and immense potential, Gujarat is intended to bring grandeur to the country.

1. How to reach: It is properly connected with the all the major as well as small cities of India and that also via all modes of transport be it train, road, air or water.

2. People : You really can identify the Gujrati people in the crowd of thousands. They are known to be the staunch businessmen. Contradictory to the social ethics of Northern India, people are here more respected if he/she is business person rather than in a govt. job. Many business persons are running their ventures in countries like Australia, U.S., and New Zealand etc. Mukesh Ambani, one the top ten wealthiest people in the world is from Gujarat.

3. Cuisine : Being associated with Lord Krishna and Mahatma Gandhi, Gujarat is a dry state and hence the cuisine of Gujarat is vegetarian. The Gujrati cuisine is not neither spicy like Rajasthan nor sweet like West Bengal. The best way to get acquainted with the local cuisine is to try the Gujrati Thali at Vihsala Restaurant, situated around 5 kms away from Ahmedabad.

4. Fairs and Festivals : International Kite Festival, Diwali, Holi, Janmashtami, Kutch Mahotsava, Modhera Dance Festival are the major festivals of Gujarat being celebrated around the year. Through these festivals you can see the authentic culture of Gujarat.

5. Major Tourist Attractions : You will never fell short of tourist destination here. From glorified historical buildings to the theme based malls and restaurants, from mosques to churches, to the ever tall standing Somnath temple, there are lot of things to absorb the beauty of the state. 6. Wildlife Sanctuaries : This state is a heaven for nature lovers. Gir National Park, Rann of Kutch, Indian Wild Ass Wildlife sanctuary, Velavadar National Park. Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary, Khijadia Bird Sanctuary and the Porbandar Bird sanctuary are the proud of this state. Anilmals like Asiatic Lions, Wild Asses, Blackbuck, Leopard, Bears elephant etc. Birds like peacocks and parrots are the most common. Migratory birds from North Eurasia find Gujarat a pleasant winter resting ground.
