Bangalore, The Taste of Authentic India

Fabulous climate, thriving IT industry, scenic landscape and lively people, this is the true picture of Bangalore which is lately be renamed as Bengaluru. This phenomenal city is the example of developing India and offers a splendid look into the majesty of diversity in the country.

The modern Bangalore is a juxtaposition of old and new and is rightly the melting pot of culture. The vivacious city hosts a wide collection of culture, tradition and history. Bangalore is also blessed with rich history, one the seat of the Vijayanagar Kingdom and Mysore Kingdom, the city preserves several relics of the past.

Bangalore offers great opportunities to shop eat and see. There are several museums and historical structures which keep the spirit of the city alive. The Krishnarajendra Market Area is known for its unique taste of traditional urban India. This bustling market offers a fresh produce of various shopping items. The area is filled with several mosques and shops that sell nice pieces of clothing and jewelry. One can also see the lilac-painted Jama Masjid here.

The Cubbon Park is a place for the wise. This particular area is named after the erstwhile British commissioner named Sir Mark Cubbon. The park is spread over an area of 120-hectare and is believed to be a place where the city breathes. The red-painted Gothic-style State Central Library and two municipal museums, an art gallery and a Government Aquarium makes this place interesting. The Hal Aerospace Museum is an apt place to peek into India's aeronautical history. Located near the old airport, one can see indigenous aircraft models designed by HAL here. Fascinating exhibits include the MIG-21, native models such as the Marut and Kiran, and a vintage Canberra bomber.

The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is the visual art gallery in Bangalore. This is city's authoritative art institution, which exhibit a wide range of Indian and international contemporary art from time to time. One can also witness the showcase of lavish gold-leaf works of Mysore-style paintings and folk and tribal art from all across Asia.

There are several domestic and international flights from Bangalore. The city connects regions like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and New Delhi. The International Bangalore Airport is the hub of several international and domestic airlines. The international destinations like UK, US and many other European cities are either directly or indirectly connected to this city.
