Goa is visibly different from the rest of India. The Portuguese rule – that lasted for centuries – made it look and feel different from other states of this country. From happening beaches to unexplored destinations, from ancient temples to magnificent churches, and a variety of sea food to beautiful holiday homes, Goa has something for everyone. It's indeed a complete package. Backpackers, budget travelers, luxury tourists, Goa is for everyone. And here is a beginners' guide for those looking for more privacy, quite, and Goa's unspoiled beaches. These beaches are laid-back when compared to Calangute, Baga, and Candoli, which are within easy reach of Airport, and are therefore more commercialized and visited. However, Goa has a surprisingly long and varied coast, and some parts of far north and far south are still unexploited.
Palolem Beach
This place will make you feel alive! It is the southernmost of Goa's developed beaches. This beach, unlike the other beaches of Goa, is less crowded, and largely unexplored. Take a plunge in the cool, sparkling water; try out some water sports; or just lay back enjoying swaying palms, soft white sand, and gorgeous green mountains. It's incredible to be here. Plenty of accommodation choices and abundance of nature make Palolem a must-visit beach.
Keri Beach
For those looking for peace and want to de-stress, Keri is the beach to go to. Spread at the North most extreme of Goa's coast, Keri is one of the least-frequented beaches. Wake up in the morning, walk down the beach, and feel fresh air on your face. You'd never forget your stay in Keri!
Mandrem Beach
It's just perfect for your 'do nothing vacation'. Situated in North Goa, Mandrem is ideal for honeymooners, who find the much-needed privacy in the secluded beaches of Mandrem. The water is calm and serene.
Many foreigners stay in Goa for months; some of these also end-up investing in Goa's real estate. Holiday homes in Goa present sound investment options. Seeing the demand for good accommodation and investment in properties, several developers have moved in to develop holiday homes in Goa. If you too feel like staying here for a little long and want a home of your own in this little paradise, consider investing in a holiday home.
Last, but not the least, though Goa is largely safe, you better be careful than sorry. Make sure you do not go out alone, and eat food and/or drinks provided by a fellow bus passenger. Stay away from drugs as the local laws are severe; you may end-up with years of imprisonment and a fine.
