Budget Travel Guide – Discover Fun And Cheap Things to Do in Seattle

Seattle is a beautiful city and a fairly easy one to travel and enjoy a great holiday without exhausting your purse. To put it straight, it's a city where one can enjoy a holiday at a very reasonable cost. There are a lot of local attractions in the city that cost under $5 per person. So what are you waiting for, just check this out!

Majority of the Seattle Museums has free entry every Thursday of the month for the public. There are others offering free passes on first Friday to senior citizens and on first Saturday to families every month. The tickets cost $5 every normal day in the Asian Arts Museum and other museums such as Frye, Wing Luke Asian Museum, University of Washington Burke Museum and the Science Fiction Museum. There are a dozens of Microsoft campuses you can go to but with a donation.

There are a lot of public parks in Seattle. If you are a tennis freak you can twist your racquets in one of the outdoor courts. Some great beach parks are seen in the Golden Gardens area. The Arboretum is one of the hot favorites which is open year-round for free.

Watch the Mariners take on a team in the baseball league for as little as $6 per person. You can also rent a canoe from the UW Rec Sports Center for $7.50 an hour, which is good and cheap. You can row under the 520 freeway or even around the Arboretum.

You can dig into some cheap food joints throughout the International District initially renowned as Chinatown and also in the University of Washington neighborhood known as U-District. The Chinese and the Vietnamese food are very much affordable. Keeping an eye on the happy hour specials at some of the high end joints and bars can surely add to the fun.
