Canberra a City of Happiness

Canberra is the Capital city of Australia and is the largest inland city. It is located at the northern end. Canberra is also known as Canberra locally sometimes also known by Bush Capital. The average temperature is 35 degree Celsius in summer and 10 degree Celsius in winter. Canberra has relatively dry oceanic climate with warm to hot summer and cool to cold winters. Australian war memorial

The Australian war memorial is among the world great museum. It is important location from where you can understand the history of Great Australia during the war time. National Botanic Garden

Escape from city tension and land in this beautiful collection of flowers. It offers in a most significant way, different types of flowers. It is the only place in world where you can see the diversity of Australian native plants in one location. This place is always busy through out the year with different types of activities related to school holiday program, exhibitions and botanic gift shop. There is always something to suit everyone. Opening time is 8.30 am to 5.00 pm and in Weekend 8.30 to 8 pm.

Old Parliament House

The parliament house is the most famous trip spot. It was home to Australian Federal Parliament from 1927, until was replaced by new Parliament house on capital hill in 1988. It is only 3 km from city centre and is a house for regular exhibitions and often play host to local events and lectures.

Capital cook memorial Water jet

Another famous landmark of Canberra is Capital cook memorial Water jet which tower over lake Burley griffin and appears mostly on the promotion literature. This water jet is powered by four giant pumps and was officially inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Australia in 1970.

Some of the famous landmarks are like National Gallery of Australia, High court of Australia, Questacon : The national Science and Technology centre and national museums of Australia.
