Casablanca – Your Relaxing White House Getaway

Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco. It has been and still is the number one when it comes to economic status and being the cultural capital of the country. It has been well-known for a long time mainly due to its references in product names and the movie which was filmed in 1942. Although it is a very large artificial port city, that fact has not deterred it from raking in the business or the name it has acquired for itself.

French Styled Structures and Colorful Markets

The simplified meaning of the name 'Casablanca' is White House. The French had a huge influence during the creation of its structures which is why it showcases a largely French styled design in many of its buildings. Casablanca has some of Morocco's most imperial specters and here you will get to experience music, art and even dance like never before. You cannot forget to visit the Hassan II mosque in the city and the old city of Meknes. You can hire local guides to take you through the edge of Atlas Mountains close to the treacherous Sahara desert. If you have never seen a desert before or gone on a desert safari, this is a sight to behold.

Casablanca also offers the discerning travellers with a chance to try their bargaining skills in the colorful markets of the city. Look for traditional handicrafts that this area is known for. Here you get to shop for yourself as well as for friends back home. Berber village, Borj Sud, Medina of Fes el-Bali and Marrakesh are just some of the sights that should not be missed, if you are in Morocco for a well-planned vacation.

Your Relaxing Getaway

This quintessential romantic destination of the world will offer something special to the globe-trotter. The locals here are relaxed and friendly and will provide you with every chance to explore their beloved city. Some parts of the country are still deeply religious where you will get to see the rich cultural heritage that Morocco has to offer. You can select the small half day tour if you intend to relax in your hotel and stay away from the sun.

Staying in Casablanca

Casablanca offers you a great variety of hotels and internationally acclaimed accommodations that will turn your time in the city truly worthwhile. The Golden Tulip hotel is located right in the heart of a bustling commercial district. Business travellers as well as revelers will also find an assortment of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels in the city, well-suited to a varied budget.
