City Breaks For Under 500 Pounds

If you’re thinking about escaping the UK soon on a budget, there are many things to consider with such a small budget. If you’re keen on trying something different, there are many places you can visit Europe for under £500. Even some of the bigger cities are less expensive than you might think. Here are our choices:

1. Berlin, Germany

Berlin is an often-underrated travel destination that can be surprisingly inexpensive to visit. This city has a number of must-see attractions such as the Eastside Gallery, Brandenburg Gate, and the Berliner Dom. The 48-hour City Tour card offers great value for money with unlimited public transportation and discounts on common tourist destinations. As opposed to the most popular destinations in Europe, the streets are friendly and less crowded than other European cities. German hostels charge as little as £22 a night and if you find the right places to eat, eating out in Berlin can be relatively inexpensive.

2. Istanbul, Turkey

Istanbul is not only the biggest city in Turkey, but also the fifth largest city in the world. It offers a rich cultural experience and is strategically important for many international business operations. Much of the city relies on public transportation so you may be better off getting around in a taxi, which are reasonable. The city offers many sightseeing opportunities for tourists on a budget with most of the city’s mosques are free to enter. For a truly unique experience, you can also try a traditional Turkish bath. However, be aware that some bars and restaurants can be expensive, so purchase a travel guide to find the cheapest places to eat. This is a good place to visit if you are relying on short term loans for money.

3. Budapest, Hungary

Budapest is yet another underrated tourist destination. It is a modern, bustling city that still retains its old-world charm. You will find many things to do in this unique city. Take one of the many free walking tours to get a glimpse of what the city has to offer. Attractions include Castle Hill, various wine cellars, the Central Market Hall, and the Holocaust Memorial Center. Short term loans make travelling to this and other destinations a wonderful experience.
