1. La Long Bay

It is the 'bay of descending dragons' and situated in Northern Vietnam. This place is dotted with islands, full of dense vegetations, limestone pillars and hollow caves. Together, they create a beautiful seascape.

2. Thien Mu Pagoda

Situated in Hue, this seven storied pagoda symbolizes imperial Vietnam. Nguyen lords during 1601 built this remarkable pagoda. However, it was redeveloped several times in history.

3. Hoan Kiem Lake

This is the most favorite leisure spot in the city of Hanoi. It was named after the magical sword given to King Le Loi by God. He used the sword to fight Chinese and returned that again to god.

4. Hoi An

It was a simple fishermen village by South China Sea. Later it has been turned into a tourist destination. Hoi An is a historically important port of Vietnam and plays a major role in Vietnam tourism. It charms every tourist with its old world structures and winding lanes. People often claim it is the Venice of Vietnam.

5. Phu Quoc

It is the biggest island of the country and is located in front of Cambodian coast. Pristine water, dense green vegetation and coral reef – these are the key attractions of the island.

6. Sa Pa Terrace

This is in Northwestern Vietnam and very close to China border. Rice terrace bamboo woodlands are major attractions.

7. Mui Ne

This is the Mecca for kite-lovers and wind-surfers in Vietnam. You can't miss sand dunes too. Waving and panoramic dunes look spectacular during sunset.

8. Mekong Delta

This region is famous for paddy cultivation and is a major rice producer in the country.

9. Cu Chi Tunnel

It is a 40 km long tunnel that shares history with guerilla warfare during Vietnam War. It is now a must see tourist destination. You can crawl down the tunnel to get a feel of the time.

10. Nha Trang

This is a resort town by the side of a beautiful bay. You can also indulge in scuba-diving here.
