Deosai National Park Land of Giants

Deosai the true beauty of Hamalya and the paradise for the nature lovers because in summer it become full with the thousands of flowers that bloom on the lush green grass look like the carpet of different colours. Deosai is located near to the Skardu and world's second highest plateau after Tibet. The park established in 1993 for the survival of Brown Bears and its habitats while in the year of establishment in the park, there were about 19 brown bears but now they become the 55 bears but they become still in the little hope of survival.

While instead of brown bears, Deosai is the home of the Brown bear with Red Fox, snow leopard, Ladakh Urial, Himalayan Ibex, snow cock and has about 128 residents of wild animals while birds as Laggar Falcon, sparrow hawk and peregrine Falcon and other species are there in the park.

The park is full of green lush grass on the meadows that looks fairies land with landscapes. The treeless plateau that spread over of about the 3000 Square kilometres to the south of the Satpara River. There are two famous routes for reaching the Deosai National Park one from the Skardu city and Astore district. From the route of the Sakardu, there is travelling through buses while then climbing towards the Deosai plain of two days. The other way of reaching towards the Deosai National Park is way from the Astore District that the journey towards the Deosai Park is through the road then the visitors do hiking.

Near the Chilim valley, there is the lake that is known as also the “Sheosar Lake” while in the Shina language the word sheosar meaning the “Blind” so known as the “Blind Lake” that is included on the highest lakes in the world. The lake is surrounded by the Karakarm series of mountains that has a depth of 40 meters and a length of 2.6 kilometres.

The cheap flights to Islamabad give you the long simmering opportunity to visit this site. The political upheavals put the country into trouble for some time and driving the increasing numbers of the young and educated away to set up their lives abroad. The situation is little bit unsatisfactory but not to lose the opportunity of grabbing the beauty of Islamabad……
