Rajasthan is an ancient land, reigned by many great “Rajput” kings and dynasties in the history. The folklores of Rajasthan are numerous as the place was a stomping ground of many antagonists and protagonists. Even in the 21st century the mansions, palaces and colossal forts built during the past emperor's epoch still stand high above all other modern architectures.

Rajasthan is a paradise for archeologists and thousands of researches and historians across the world always desire to know more about Rajasthan. Jaipur is the capital place of Rajasthan and also called the pink city. Jaipur dazzles at one side with its awe-inspiring luxurious hotels and classy shopping malls, and on the other side it takes the visitors in the past history with the spectacles of monuments like Amber fort, Hawa Mahal in the city center, Jaigarh fort and Jantar Mantar.

City palace and Nahargarh fort are also attractive places to visit in Jaipur. The ancient state isn't only known for its royal monuments, it also offers some royal cuisines which are famous across whole India and few are popular even on the international level. Where people of many states have forgotten their ancestral values, inmates of Rajasthan still venerate their culture and preserve it.

Every year millions of tourist across the world visit Rajasthan to capture its heritage in their cameras. Hoary fortresses and other medieval monuments screams out the truth about the beautiful history attached with them. Aside of all other attraction of rajasthan which can be approached through motorable roads, Jaisalmer Fort is a contour, which is located in the Jaisalmer city and in the midst of Thar desert.

This fort is one of the world's largest fort and has been a witness to many battles fought during the medieval age. The fort was built by Bhati Rajput ruler Rawal Jaisal and is covered by gigantic yellow sandstone walls. Due to its yellowish periphery, the fort is also called “Golden Fort” and sometimes called “Sonar Quila” by the locals.

Many historical monuments of Rajasthan have now been turned into resorts and five stars hotels. This adds strength to the tourism sector in Rajasthan and also bestows opportunity to the tourists to have an authentic feel of royal lifestyle. All ancient buildings have been modernized to suit the comfort level of the lodgers but the architectural design and the atmosphere inside the buildings have still been maintained in such a way as if the emperors are still residing in the abode.

On visiting the royal sites of Rajasthan, visitors always get mesmerized by seeing such mementos of famous rulers still standing tall unscathed in the commercialized world. It is inevitable if you visit Rajasthan, you should give yourself some time and sojourn for enough days, so that you don't miss out on witnessing any attraction of the state.
