Eco-friendly Resorts – a Fabulous Way of Experiencing The Nature at Its Best!

Garbage disposal is eco-friendly. Hot water id provided using solar energy. Lamps and lanterns are used to lighten the camps and lodges. Hot water bottles are used to warm beds at night. Disposal of plastic waste and other non-biodegradable items is still a huge concern in Uttarakhand, though the state has officially banned the use of plastic bags.

Tourists are generally impressed by the homely treatment these Indian eco-friendly resorts give to their guests. There is more of a home style cooking and not a hotel-style cooking. Light, healthy and delicious food is offered. Spacious dining halls, buffet system for food, earthen pots or banana leaves are used as utensils. They give more a natural feel.The locations are usually quiet and more close to nature. It gives you a feeling of lying in the lap of Mother Nature.
