With lot of talks in global warming and saving the precious nature, these resorts have started garnering the attention of tourists too. Eco-friendly resorts are designed specifically to not tamper with nature and to create a place rich in flora and fauna. Few methods opted by such eco-friendly resorts are:

  • Keeping surrounding clean

These resorts have electricity, but have also installed solar panels in the areas where large units of electricity are used. For common area lighting and heaters in all the rooms solar panels are used and hence it's a major contribution towards being eco-friendly. Water harvesting is a must and rainwater is stored for further process and usage. Used water from bathing, cleaning and rest rooms are used for recycling and used in watering the plants surrounding the resort. This way fresh water is not wasted and it's a contribution to a greener India. Many eco-friendly resorts have gone through the change of normal bulbs to CFL to save energy. These a well appreciated by eco-friendly tourists who come time and again to such resorts. By keeping trashcans in every nook and corner, the surroundings are kept clean and the nature is not tampered with.

Many resorts that provide with pickup and drop facility use electric cars and LPG vehicles to commute, as it is nature friendly. Providing organic and fresh fruits and vegetables for people who stay is also a step towards an eco-friendly life and all eco-friendly resorts follow that. Many even grow their own vegetables. These resorts also follow sorting of waste into dry waste and wet waste religiously. Recycling them and using as an organic fertilizer is a major step towards the go green term. India eco-friendly resorts do not tamper with the nature and provide a healthy stay and the tourists can take home few tips from them in saving nature once they are back to the city and can turn their place into heaven.
