Enjoy Amazing Stay at Holiday Apartments In Hyde Park

Hyde Park is the largest royal park in London that became accessible to the public in 1637. It is spread over an area of more than 360 acres and is adjacent to Kensington Gardens, Green Park and St. James's Park. The royal park is a host for several events, celebrations and concerts, while it also gained popularity due to its sports and recreational activities, such as jogging, swimming, rowing, picnicking, ice skating, yoga, horse riding, boating and cycling. The park's current layout was designed by architect Decimus Burton in 1825. The park can be easily reached from any part of the city through five London Underground stations – Hyde Park Corner (Piccadilly Line), Knightsbridge (Piccadilly Line), Queensway (Central Line), Lancaster Gate (Central Line) and Marble Arch (Central Line).

Places To Visit

Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain is a memorial inaugurated by Queen Elisabeth II in 2004 in memory of Princess Diana. The modern fountain has been made up of 545 pieces of Cornish granite and sees water flowing from two sides at the top into a small pool at the bottom.

Speakers' Corner is a famous place in Hyde Park to conduct public meetings. Speakers' Corner was established in 1872 with an aim to allow people to speak freely. People gather here every Sunday and express their views regarding politics, religion and other issues by standing on a soap box.

The Rose Garden is located in the southeast corner of Hyde Park. It is equipped with a wide range of flowers, a long winding pergola and two fine fountains.

Hyde Park has several statues and monuments, with the largest one being the Achilles Statue that was installed in 1822 to honor the Duke of Wellington. The 7/7 Memorial was constructed in honor of the victims of the terrorist attack of July 7 2005. It is made up of 52 stainless steel columns, with each column representing one of the victims of the bombings.
