This carnival is exclusive of the state. For three to four days and nights people engage themselves to celebrate fullest. Another known festival is Shigmo. Celebrated by Hindus of Goa, this colourful festival is celebrated with elaborate parades. It is celebrated all over the state, but the parade in Panaji is the main attractions. It is observed in the month of March and the celebration begins 9th moon day to full-moon day. Shigmo is actually the Goa's version of Holi. The beautifully decorated floats depict the mythological stories and tales. Shigmo is also celebrated with dance and songs. It is an important festival after Goa Carnival. It is a festival for masses. Though Holi is celebrated in different parts of the country with different names but Shimoga has its own charm. It is a great display of Goan Hindu culture. Besides, Panaji, Mapusa, Vasco, Ponda, Margao also enjoy the Shigmo.

Needless to say, reaching Goa is not a hectic task. It is well-connected with other parts of the country. This happening state is visited round the year.
