Escape to Hawaii in March and Enjoy Many Fun Events and Your Stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton

Are you planning a trip to Hawaii, but not sure which island you want to visit? Here are some reasons for you to choose Oahu as your next holiday destination. Oahu is an island full of history, notably the island is home to the world renowned Pearl Harbor attack. Oahu is also home to world famous Waikiki Beach, the fabulous North Shore and other astonishing off-the-beaten-path beaches. Oahu has some of the most remarkable scenery. There is no scarcity of adventure on the island. Oahu is known for its astounding luaus; a traditional Hawaiian party or dinner that is often accompanied by entertainment. If these are not enough reasons for your to Oahu vacation, then here are some events taking place in March that may attract your interest.

Women in Film is March 1-3, films by and about women as we kick off a year-long partnership with Hawaii Women in Filmmaking. The program includes films that feature women in front of and behind the screen that showcase a common perspective from around the globe.

89th Annual Printmakers Exhibit on March 1-22, features a carefully juried selection of the best print work from artists around the state of Hawaii working in traditional printmaking media as well as contemporary forms and hybrids.

Waialua Carnival 2017 is on March 3-5, rides and games, famous live entertainment, and lots of delicious local foods. Enjoy local bands, hula halau, live DJs, and more.

Haleiwa Triathlon is on March 4, Swim: a safe, fast 400 meter swim inside of the reef at Haleiwa Beach Park near Haleiwa Canoe Club. Beach start, one wave going clockwise. Bike: 12 Mile bike ride, 3 loops circling Haleiwa via Joseph P Leong by-pass road & Kamehameha Hwy. Kamehamaha Hwy Mauka Lane closed to cars for 1.5 hours going in the East direction. Run: 3 Mile out & back run that takes place on trails, WW2 runways & soft beach sand.

40th Annual Hawaii Pacific Health Women's 10K is on March 5, a scenic, 6.2-mile race takes participants around Diamond Head and through Kahala, returning to Kapiolani Park for the after-race festivities.

Sake Appreciation Festival on March 5, to acknowledge the gift that alcoholic beverages made from rice like sake and shochu are to the world.

23rd Annual Honolulu Festival is on March 10-12, an opportunity for cultural exchange with many ethnic groups and performers from various countries. There will be an educational program for elementary, junior high, high school students. Also the cultural events such as the Ennichi Corner, Stage Performance, Grand Parade and also Nagaoka Fireworks are scheduled to be held at the festival.

Honolulu Rainbow Ekiden is on March 12, it is a long distance relay race originating in Japan. The race goes through a popular course amongst locals that starts at Kapiolani Park, runs up along Diamond Head and back. 3-runner team, 5-runner team, keiki run and walkers welcome.

Waikiki Kitchen is on March 12, food festival at Kapiolani Park featuring local's famous food trucks.

30th Great Hawaiian Rubber Duckie Race on March 18, 20,000 cute, bright yellow rubber duckies will be doing their part to help support those with disabilities in the islands, with their 100-yard dash down the Ala Wai Canal.

International Auto Show 2017March 24-26, over 350 of the hottest new cars and trucks all in one place at the Hawaii Convention Center.

Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Parade is on March 25, from 10am-noon from Saratoga through Kalakaua Ave to Kapiolani Park.
