There are some small hospitals in Pheriche, but as you will be accompanied by a Sherpa guide who will be carrying a necessary medical kit along, as it will be difficult to find any medical help as you ascend to the higher altitude.
As you climb higher the landscape gets barren but you will see the most famous Himalaya Mount Everest in from of you. These are the difficult stretches; there are only a few small lodges, which operate during trekking seasons. You trek will significantly reach a height of 5545 m at Kala Pattar, a small peak offering a stunning view of Mount Everest.
