Naxos is a town which on the island of Naxos in the Cyclades, Greece. So, as soon as you arrive by ferry here at the Naxos islands' you get to witness Portara which is a doorway to the ancient Temple to Apollo which was built in 522 BC and never finished and it sits on this small island in the harbour and is connected by a long causeway. People say that if you stand in the doorway and make a wish you can feel a force or energy of Apollo which begins working to make your wish come true.

You get to witness Naxos adventure as soon as you arrive here and the town and its winding streets are full of restaurants and shops. The northern part of Naxos which is called Grotta has pebble beach which is not much used and the northern wind makes it pretty wild. The Southern part of Naxos town is Agios Georgios beach which is home for all the popular hotels, cafes, restaurants and bars. The harbour itself is a lively area where you have all these cafes, eateries, travel agencies and shops. A lot of tourists when to arrive here find the town busy and confusing but if you sit down and relax and observe people and place carefully all the thoughts you had in your mind about the place dissipate and you begin to enjoy yourself. Naxos town does not close down in winter and it is a commercial centre of the island that does not depend only on tourism. This place has all the year round Greeks and tourists come here and enjoying nightlife, restaurants, cafes and shopping and beach staying as well experiencing one of the most luxurious and beautiful sailing experience.
