For the enhancement of tourism in the state, the government has even taken one step ahead to start the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival in 2007. Conducted in between the time period of December and January, the festival has already become a hit.

The medicine types such as Siddha and Ayurveda pull many foreign and domestic tourists. This has even led to the government preparing for a grading system for the medical institutes in the state, so that the tourists can easily select one in case of medical emergencies.

Expansion of the Tourism Industry in Kerala

The expansion of the tourism aspects is the result of proper advertisements and events. The tourists, who have already been fond of the state, have gone forward to share their literary contents, videos and images on the social sites and other websites. Also, the state have already earned awards for hosting ad campaigns, which are recognized for being market focused and innovative. For further pulling the tourists, the government is into arranging for events as well. With high investments, the state has experienced great success in the events. An annual event named International Coir Fest takes the upper hand to promote tourism and coir industries of the state.
