If you are planning to make a trip to Mumbai from UK, You will get flight from almost all airports, e.g. London Heathrow, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester and New Castle are few to be named. There are some many travel agencies which will help you in getting the best fare deal. According to my experience Robin Flights is the best. They provide us with the cheapest fare and best service in the industry. If you want to save some penny, make plan to travel in off season and book ticket in advance at least a month. Make sure not to come in rainy season as there is chance of water logging everywhere in Mumbai. As most of the flight takes about 8 to 9 hrs make plan according to it.
Airport
Mumbai Chhatrapti Shivaji International airport is the busiest airport connecting several International airports. The airport has two terminals, Domestic and International. Both uses the same airport are 4 km apart. Free shuttle bus connects them. The airport is about 28 km from Colaba, the main tourist destination. Make sure to take prepaid coupon taxi to minimize hassle. The taxi fare might vary from Rs 500 to Rs 800 including luggage charge. Never take lift from unknown person. A tip of Rs 50 to 100 is appreciable.
