Fort Jadhavgadh – One of The Oldest Heritage Hotels in India

India is a country with a rich history. Some centuries back India was ruled by many kings and emperors. The kings and emperors had a very lavish lifestyle and lived in palaces and forts. After India got independence from the British, many of these structures got heritage status and are still maintained because they are a part of India's rich cultural history. Some of these places have been converted into hotel and restored to all its glory. It's a great experience in these hotels because there is so much history in these places and you get to stand there and imbibe all of it.

Fort Jadhavgadh is one such place that you must experience. It is a 300 year old structure with grand history that you will be in awe of the place once you set foot on the cobble-stoned steps of this magnificent place. Fort Jadhavgadh was built by Pilaji Jadhavrao who was the Maratha General in the army of Chhatrapati Shahuji grandson of the great Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji. This place was a training ground for the Marathas who were fighting the Mughals to reclaim the Maratha glory. Pilaji Jadhavrao was one of the most charismatic speaker and swordsperson in the Maratha army.

The place with such an incredible history and story now houses a museum. The museum is dedicated to all the mothers in the world. It is India's only heritage hotel to house a museum. Not only that, they have special museum suite, where you can stay for the night.

Fort Jadhavgadh has one of the most beautiful sceneries. Situated amidst the nature, Fort Jadhavgadh has some incredible views. The place has a beautiful lawn which is used for weddings. The ceremony is conducted in a 3oo year old Ganesh temple. It is just a dream to have a wedding at such a beautiful place.

There are a very few Heritage hotels in India and Fort Jadhavgadh is the only one in Maharashtra. The service here is exquisite. It has a poolside spa in which you can relax your mind and body. The pool at Fort Jadhavgadh is temperature controlled, which allows you to relax in your temperature. You can have the most amazing unwinding and relaxing sessions at Fort Jadhavgadh.

Fort Jadhavgadh is one of the very rare heritage hotels in India which is located at an altitude. Fort Jadhavgadh is in front of the majestic Sahayadri's where you can go camping, trekking, bird watching, animal spotting and river crossing. It is an altogether an exhilarating experience if you are looking for adventure. At Fort Jadhavgadh you have so many activities that you can do that you will never feel bored even for a minute. They have a ghazal night where they fill the air with nostalgic ambience with ghazals from yester years. Also they have an activity called DaanPatta also known as Shivaji Martial arts in the lawns. There are no heritage hotels in India which have so many activities for you.
