Holiday Cottages in The UK

UK Holiday Cottages

Holiday Cottages and why I like them

It's a well known reality that British holiday makers would rather go abroad to countries like Spain, Turkey and other European countries for their annual breaks. While these countries embrace vast preference over the UK in sense of the weather, price difference and event planning they suffer as they don't take every type of holiday maker into account. Certain, the standard family prefers to have a combination of sun, sea and excitement but there are a great number of people who choose holidays so that they can relax in a stress free environment without a care in the world.

Most are unaware that you don't need to leave the UK to get this type of vacation. Britain has a number of the best holiday locations in the world although they are more appropriate to a certain kind of holiday maker. Holiday cottages supply comfort, silence and peace of mind and it is for these reasons that they are in high demand from holiday makers both in the UK and abroad.

Many people imagine that having a holiday in a cottage as a boring and useless way to spend money but they couldn't be further from the truth. Britain has excellent locations such as Cornwall, Norfolk and the Lake District. While on first thought these are just average regions of our fair island but when here on vacation you will quickly find out that they are much more than that. In fact they happen to be some of the best places to visit in the UK and can offer peace and serenity to the most active of people.

For example, I am an extremely active person and I take pleasure in nothing more than to go abroad and hit the night clubs in Tenerife as that is my plan of a great holiday and one of the best ways to let off steam. On the other hand I also enjoy a nice peaceful holiday to the Lake District or Cornwall as it enables me to get the time I need to reflect on the past several months and make important decisions that I simply couldn't make whilst in the middle of the hectic environment that comes with a high tempo holiday such as one to the canary islands.

All in all, I feel that holiday cottages are a wonderful solution to letting your hair down after a hard few months work and I know that a large percentage of people would feel the same way if they took the chance and had a short break away to Cornwall, Norfolk etc. The aim of a holiday is to get away from your everyday life and if you lead a demanding life you should try opting for a stress free holiday at least once a year. I'm sure you will find that it is both therapeutic and pleasurable and surprisingly great value for money. One more bonus is that with the UK being a fairly small island your trip to and from your holiday cottage will more than likely only take you a couple of hours and you don't have the stress that you do at an air or cruise port.
