Journey From Delhi to Saharanpur

Saharanpur city is situated in the north western part of the state, Uttar Pradesh. It is an important destination for tourism and is well-known all over India for its cottage industries that engages a lot of wood carving. The city has a prosperous history, and has experienced the ups and downs of several empires throughout its time.

This is one of the major reasons lot of people from all over India and the world flock to Saharanpur, just to visit the age old temples that are sited in this area and all the colonial buildings which still stand tall and with a lot of grace. On your your tour to Saharanpur, you can stop over at the amazing botanical gardens, which are relatively famous here. The Company Garden of Saharanpur is the most renowned over here and it came into existence during the British Raj. This garden and the entire area surrounding it served as a hub for botanical research.

Another great attraction in Saharanpur is the Ambedkar Park which has been constructed beautifully. The close by region of Barsi finds a shrine that is approximately 5000 years old, and the temple is devoted to the key deity Lord Shiva. Besides these here are numerous other temples found here and these are Pataleshwar Temple, Bhuteshwar Temple, Lakshmi Narayan Temple, and Sai Baba Dham.

Saharanpur is an industrial hub of the state Uttar Pradesh. Since it is situated in the middle of the Himalayan terrain and crosswise the river Yamuna, tourists can take pleasure in the picturesque beauty , religious places and entertaining and adventurous activities like rafting. The climate here is the majority of the time tropical so the best time to be here is in the months of July and December.

The town is well connected from Delhi to Saharanpur and there are a number of trains and buses commuting between the two cities at frequent intervals. It is barely 170 Kms from Delhi and takes nearly 2 hours 45 minutes to cover this distance.

Accomodation in Saharanpur is not an issue at all. The hotels here exhibit amazing hospitality and it are worth all the money spent. Saharanpur has a large number of hotels suiting all the budgets, may it be the budget hotel and a decent variety of luxury hotels. All the luxury hotels are centrally air-conditioned and the services and facilities offered in these hotels are absolutely incredible. All these hotels also arrange for tours that includes all the major attractions especially the religiousplaces.
