HOW TO REACH: One can reach Kashmir conveniently by air. Srinagar has an airport. All major airlines operate regular flights between New Delhi / Mumbai & Srinagar.

By Rail: The major railway station is Jammu Tawi, from where several important trains connect the state with the rest of the country. Jammu to Srinagar / Pahalgam is about 8 hr drive. Train journey is not recommended, unless you are covering Kashmir with Vaishnodevi yatra.

By Road: Kashmir is well-connected by a vast network of roads to important cities like Delhi, Amritsar, Ambala, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Shimla and Manali. Road journey is not recommended, unless you are on a long holiday / on an adventure trip.
