Maldives Honeymoon – Dive, Surf and Dine with the Sharks

If you are looking for a foreign destination for holidaying or honeymooning, the name of Maldives deserves a special mention. It is a destination which is comprised of over 1100 coral islands. Nestled in the middle of the ocean, this gorgeous destination has been giving potential honeymooners sleepless nights. The excitement of flying all the way to this place is unbeatable. Even before you set your feet on this place, you will go through more than the usual amounts of thrills. When your flight is about to land, you may tend to fear that the plane will land right on the ocean floor. This sea-friendly destination naturally makes for a lovely place where beach-lovers and divers can have the time of their life. Honeymoon packages to Maldives are getting globally popular but this destination's fame has only just begun to rise.

Banana Reef is one of the most recommended sites for sports enthusiastic and divers. When you are in Maldives, you simply cannot escape the delights of underwater life. Banana Reef has got some fabulous corals and it is here that one can find bliss in the form of snorkeling and scuba diving. Apprehensive couples should keep in mind that full safety measures are employed in all these sports. Besides, if you are not very comfortable in going under the sea or if you do not have any skills of swimming, you can stick to snorkeling. This sport does not entail any fear or risk since you float just below the surface of the water.

There is also this site where you can come across the wreck of a ship which had sunk way back in 1981. However, you will have to go a bit deep in order to catch it. So, only those divers who are confident and experienced are advised to go on this trail. When you go deeper into the sea, you will find that the visibility gets shrunk. This is because sunlight cannot penetrate the interiors and the visibility is low. So, there is another sort of fear to conquer. It can be pitch black at greater depths.

Surfing is also one of the most popularly enjoyed water sports. The sea at Maldives is turbulent without being dangerous. So, surfers, sailors and swimmers can have a gala time.

Outside the beaches, Maldives has its other attractions as well. The capital Male is a beautiful destination with its share of markets, eateries and museums. Maldives' National Museum is a must-visit especially for couples who like to add a dash of history in their sightseeing plans.

Another great thing about Maldives is that its climate is very friendly. So, without any risk, one can say that it is a round-the-year destination. So, Maldives honeymoon packages from India are available for booking and pre-booking throughout the year.

One cannot conclude this article without the mention of Ithaa. It is the world's first underwater restaurant. It can be expensive and you would need to make a pre-booking but it will be the greatest experience of your life, no doubt.
