Monsoon – Peaceful Stay at Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park in Nainital district of Uttarakhand experience the rainfall in three digits throughout monsoon, making it one of the rainiest districts of Uttarakhand.

If you are seeking quality time alone or with friends, this is the right time for you to visit the Jim Corbett National Park, as during monsoon the three most visited zones are closed due to the rising level of water in the Ramganga river which cuts off these zones from other zones of the region.Dhikala reopens on 15 Nov, while Bijrani and Durgadevi on 15 Oct.

And till the time these zones reopens, the reserve is full of peace and you could really enjoy your stay in the reserve, having a sip of tea in the resorts and enjoying different cuisines amidst the rain will give you an experience of living in a rainforest.

In today's world the fast paced life of us leaves our body and mind full of stress and seeks some rest time, and we in Jim Corbett Reserve fully assure of the same. The peaceful stay in nature will not only heal your body but also will bring you close to nature.

“Nature is not a place to visit it is home ” -Garry Snyder

Very accurately stated by Garry Snyder, indeed nature is home to all of us, a place where we forget all about our daily routine, job commitments and live in peace enjoying every moment to the fullest. Jim Corbett is also a home away from home.

Some people say how can we find peace in rainy season amidst thunderstorm and noise of water droplets, for them George Santayana has quoted it beautifully

“The earth has its music for those who will listen ” – George Santayana

Not only this you can also enjoy elephant safari, jeep safari owing to clear weather. Also different adventure activities like trekking, angling, fishing, etc are the major attraction in the reserve.

When you're away from people, when you're away from all the noise, when you're willing to listen, when you're surrounded by nature, you can hear her talk.

A kind suggestion to all the visitors, as it is monsoon so do bring your rain coats, boots as it might get a bit muddy in the reserve.

A general advisory to all, please do maintain a safe distance from the river as it overflows during this time of the year.
