Gavi

Gavi is a village which is approximately 40 kilometres away from Thekkady, which is another popular hill station. However, the major highlight of Gavi is its rich wildlife. In this area, we come across creatures like leopards, tigers, sambar, Malabar giant squirrel, Nilgiri langur and bears.

Periyar Tiger Reserve – Thekkady

Declared as a national park in 1982, the park stretches over 925 sq. kilometres. Regarded amongst the world's richest bio-diversity spots, the reserve is noted for housing both tigers and elephants. Inside the park we come across tropical evergreen and moist deciduous forests. Inside the park we also get to chase Nilgiri Tahr, jungle cat, wild pig, sambar and gaur.

Marari Beach – Mararikulam

A visit to this beach is marked by silence, making it a compelling visit. Walk on the wet sand as the waves hit your feet. Enjoy the sight of a setting sun right above the gushing waves. Another reason which this beach should be visited is that it was rated as one of the top five hammock beaches in the world by the National Geographic Survey.

Varkala Beach
