Mumbai – The City that Never Sleeps

Mumbai is known as Bombay until 1996 is the capital of Maharashtra, and the most populous city in India and is also ranked 4th in the world in terms of population. It is the wealthiest city in India. It is also the entertainment and commercial capital of India. It houses the Marathi and Hindi film industry and is also the home for financial institutes like National Stock Exchange of India, Bombay Stock Exchange and Reserve Bank of India. Mumbai is a melting pot of many cultures and communities as it has the potential to offer a very high standard of living apart from vast business opportunities.

Tourist Attraction in Mumbai

One of the famous monuments of Mumbai, the Gateway of India should be among the first places to visit. A very popular destination and one can admire it during the day as well as the evening when it is fully lit. The famous Taj hotel is at a walk able distance from Gateway of India. Elephanta Caves is another famous tourist destination that can be reached by renting a ferry from Gateway of India. Designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, the caves are full of history which is depicted in the form of statues and carvings. Flora fountain is another tourist attraction that is worth visiting especially in the evening when fully lit.
