Nightlife in Tel Aviv is vibrant and fun. You have a lot of nightspots to choose from, have a drink, meet people, and just enjoy the culture of this modern city. Many people think that Tel Aviv is a traditional place but people here really do know how to party up to the wee hours in the morning. Nightlife in Tel Aviv starts at around 11pm, a bit late for western standards. In here, the party starts to get hot at around 2am and it will go on and on until the morning, even during the Sabbath. In fact the nightlife here is wilder than many parts of New York. Surprised? Now you know. So whether you are staying in a hotel or in the many Tel Aviv vacation rentals in the city, you will surely find a bar nearby that will suit all your party preferences.
What do people drink in Tel Aviv? The most common is beer mainly because of the climate of the area. The two most popular beers in town are Goldstar and Maccabi beers. These are popular home brand beers in the city and both are great, however competition is stiff so you just have to choose which one you like best. There is also an overflow of good wine in the city, thanks to the excellent wineries all over Israel. Israeli wines are award winning like those from Golan, Tishbi, and Carmel wineries.
Like in any other city Tel Aviv has drinking holes. There are three bar areas in the city and these are located in the Dizengoff and Ibn Gavirol Sts. Whether you opt for expensive cocktail lounges or just a blue collar bar, this area can definitely serve your needs. The Lilenblum St. area is also a good drinking spot with many bars lining up this neighborhood. Then of course there is the old city port area, one of the city's newest night spots, and where the young people gather from all over Tel Aviv. There are numerous holiday apartments in Tel Aviv and if you happen to stay in one, look up in your map if you are near to these places and then start exploring them one by one.
The best day to go out bar hopping in Tel Aviv is on Wednesdays. Go out on Thursday and expect crowded bars. Fridays would mean young people are crowding the best drinking spots in town. If you want to go out at night without the frenzy of people then you can choose Saturdays for your night excursions. The good thing about staying in Tel Aviv vacation rentals is having the freedom to go out anytime and be just a short walk away from great nightlife spots in the city.
What are the famed bars in the Tel Aviv? Rivendell is a good choice if you ask the locals. It is a new bar in the port area but the atmosphere (seafront location) and the reputation it was able to build since its opening makes this bar the best place to have wild fun while in the city. This is a packed place from Thursday to Saturday but your wait will not go to waste – this is where hot guys and gals are hanging out. Erlich is another good choice, a perfect place to meet people. Inside is a large round bar occupying most of the interior space. In the peak hours people often stand behind the first layer of seated people in the bar. A perfect set up for socializing with strangers. There are many holiday apartments in Tel Aviv near the old port area. Maybe you can stay in one and enjoy Tel Aviv's wild party as often as you want.
