Paris is Much More Than The Eiffel Tower

Beautifully gracing the banks of River Seine, Paris happens to be one of the most romantic destinations round the globe! Naturally, you'll find couples planning their romantic escapades and honeymoon in Paris than any other place in the world. However, when it comes to exploring the scenic wonders and tourist sites of Paris, the city isn't just about the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame. There's more to the place and it needs to be explored with ample time at hand! However, if you wish to explore in a budget friendly manner, then you have the option of buying very cheap international flights to Paris and explore some of its other tourist sites that too are famous.

Barring the Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower, here are three other tourist sites in Paris that you can explore and yet have an essence of the city.

  1. Place de la Concorde:This is one of the prominent tourist sites that you can explore! Established between the years 1755 and 1775 by the popular architect of the King Louis XV, this stunning octagonal square is situated centrally to the 18th century Paris and creates a sense of awe and beauty as you glance at it. Inside this site's majestic and stunning dimensions, the Place de la Concorde is said to be one of the most scenic squares that the city has. Furthermore, in terms of history this place was the scene of many ancient events that comprises of the execution of the honorable King Louis XVI. Also this place was a part of Napoleon's triumph route.
  2. Arc de Triomphe:Going by the ancient records the Arc de Triomphe has been attributed to the glorious French armies of the Revolution as well as the First Empire. It was Napoleon that had ordered the creation of this gigantic structure that dates back to 1806. However, he didn't survive to witness the completion of this structure. This site was designed by JF Chalgrin and it showcases the reliefs along with the huge figures thatdepict the departure, glorious return of the French armies as well as other victories. Over here a thing of special notice is the relief by the Francois Rude on the Champs-Elysees front. Take ample time at hand to be here and explore this site.
  3. The Luxembourg Gardens:Established during the 17th century, the Luxembourg Gardens is one of the scenic tourist sites in Paris. The present form that you see of this place has been the design by architect JF Chalgrin. The main feature of this park is the huge octagonal pond along with a fountain that is further flanked by two classy terraces that has been dotted with statues. This part of the park has been established in a rather French classical style and is known for its exquisite beauty and elegance.

So visiting these three places also offers you an essence of the city making you want to come back to it again and again.
