Being in standing posture with its height of approx 26 inches (66 cm), the Emerald Buddha, which is a dark green statue carved from a single jade stone, is very good looking. This statue is carved in the meditating form in the style of the Lanna school in the northern part of Thailand. The cloak around the charming statue is changed by the Thai King or the Crown Prince three times per year, respectively in summer, rainy and winter.

Wat Phra Kaew is counted among the most visited points of tourist interest in Thailand. Because of being situated in the Grand Palace, it has become very important in this charming holiday destination.
