If you want to combine pleasure, learning and adventure during your Fowey holidays, here are great suggestions for your family.

Hollywell Bay Fun Park

The Hollywell Bay Fun Park is an amazing recreation centre near the upscale Fowey holiday cottages. As one of the finest action-packed theme parks in the area, you will surely have an incredible time here. Ride the battle boats, bumper boats and the go-karts so you can feel like a kid again. The “Climbing Wall” is a crowd favourite. A special children's play area with a ball pool is where your children can have loads of fun and laughter. Enjoy some tee time session at the 18-hole golf course, which has a putt and pitch course. You can order delicious and hot snacks at the cafe to satisfy your palates. Souvenirs are available at the gift shop in the park. Entrance to the Hollywell Bay Fun Park is free though you have to pay for the rides.

Eden Project

Leave the comforts of the upscale Fowey holiday cottages to explore the Eden Project. It is a collection of many large, domed greenhouses. Various plants from different parts of the world can be found here. The domes are located in unused China clay quarries near St. Austell. It is simply amazing just to see hundreds of plants and tree species from places like Australia, Asia, Africa and South America. The domes or “biomes” are 787 feet in length, 180 feet in height and 360 feet across. It is like being in a rich rainforest or wild jungle. It would be an enriching educational experience for you and your children to know about various species of plants and trees within the Eden Project.

Trevarno Gardens

If you want to commune with nature and just savour its beauty and serenity, the Trevarno Gardens is your next stop. Dubbed as the “Jewel in the Crown”, it is one of the popular parts of the estate. The 70-acres of well-manicured gardens are enough to revitalize your senses and make you want to stay here all day long. The Trevarno Gardens contain the most diverse and biggest collection of plants in the county. Exotic flowers, towering trees and specimen shrubs are some of the living things here that are all pleasing to the eyes. The bluebell valley and the sunken Italian gardens as well as the decorative lake with the beautiful Victorian boathouse are all worth of your time and effort. Do not forget to view the bamboo collection, the green lawn and the winding Yew Tunnel at the Trevarno Gardens. Visit the Trevarno Gardens while staying at the cosy Fowey holiday cottages.
