Quinta do Lago is An Outdoor Lovers Adventure Holiday

As an outdoor lover when I think of a holiday it includes natural parks, beaches, scenic coastlines and lots of walking and exploring. Quinta do Lago is located in a southern area of Portugal surrounded by forests and lakes with Ria Formosa Natural Park on its doorstep.

Whether you intend lying on the beach all day, swimming in the crystal blue ocean or taking leisurely walks around the lakes and lagoons in the area, you can do it all with the sunshine sparkling down to keep you warm and invigorated.

Warm, Sunny Summers

Let's start at the beginning. Due to the location of Portugal they enjoy warm and sunny summers, just what we need for a vacation if travelling from the UK. Quinta do Lago is situated within a convenience distance of the picturesque beaches, blue seas and spectacular coastlines. There are swimming pools in the resorts if you just feel like lying by the pool all day and making the most of the sunshine or there are boutique shops within easy distance to buy all the souvenirs for home.

But it doesn't stop there. The area is known for their superior golf courses which can be enjoyed while holidaying in the area or you can spend the day being pampered at the local spa before heading to one of the exquisite restaurants for some mouth-watering delights.

Perfect for Family Summer Holidays

This area is perfect for family summer holidays, short midweek breaks to recharge your batteries or romantic getaways. The townhouses, villas and suites are all interlinked with winding paths where children can play outdoors and the pools shine and welcome you to have a dip.

The sky is blue, the beaches golden, the coastlines superb and the weather is warm, just what would be on my list for an ideal vacation. A short and affordable flight from the UK you will arrive feeling refreshed and ready to move into your superior accommodation with all the amenities you need for that perfect and relaxing holiday.

Trendy Bars and Nightclubs

The Quinta do Lago area is also surrounded by trendy bars and nightclubs, so if you're in the mood you can dance the night away before heading off to the beach or pool for some relaxation the next day.

As an outdoor lover it's the lakes, forests and beaches that appeal to me. A leisurely sun downer walk with my feet feeling the warm sand and enjoying the ocean breeze is a dream that is realised when holidaying here. Walking the little footbridges over the lagoons and exploring all the hidden caves along the coastline is something to be remembered for many years to come.
