National Park
Most national parks have quite a few options when it comes to vacationing. One national park may be situated near a beach, like Manuel Antonio, and have some of the best restaurants and cheaper rentals, making it great for everyone. The adults can hang out on Manuel Antoniobeach while the kids enjoy swimming, shopping and some of the fun water sports.
Other national parks that are situated in the woods often offer cabin rentals, or have campsites for those that love the outdoors. Sometimes, the cabins are referred to as more of a “glamping” style of camping as many have electricity and indoor plumbing, but that is what makes them the perfect option for teenage girls that hate the idea of camping in the woods or spending a night sleeping in a tent.
Beach
A beach may sound a bit cliche, but this idea offers the same variety as a national park does. Families can usually find vacation rentals that are within an hour of the ocean at a cheaper rate, and they can still spend the day at Manuel Antonio beach. As an added bonus, most beaches have their own waterparks, trendy restaurants and other great tourist attractions that will help everyone have fun.
Before making a reservation, families are encouraged to check out the local area to make sure that they will not find themselves bored and the kids will not be too restless. Manuel Antonio may sound like pure heaven, but children can get bored with being on the beach day after day for two weeks straight.
Amusement Rides
If spending the day camping in cabin rentals or relaxing on Manuel Antonio beach sounds a bit boring, a day of roller coasters is just the excitement that your family needs. Most of these also have hotels and lodging that is nearby. Families that want to be more cost effective can usually find vacation rentals that are close enough for them to enjoy all of the attractions at half of the cost. Packing lunches for the weekend and sticking to a budget can also help save money, making this family trip affordable for everyone.
Random City
Every city has something to offer for everyone. Small towns in the country often have a quaint, small town feel that everyone finds charming, and bigger cities have museums that no one has ever been to before. Sometimes, simply taking a weekend, booking rentals and exploring a new city will give everyone in the family exactly what they need in order to relax.
Planning the perfect family getaway can be challenging for some families. Most parents do not want to spend their entire week off of work listening to children complain or ask when they are going home. They also do not want to feel as though they wasted their hard earned money on a trip that no one is enjoying.
Taking the time to think about what every person in the family enjoys and then exploring each of these four ideas is guaranteed to help get the mind going so that it can come up with the perfect family getaway, whether that is Manuel Antonio or a city that is only two hours away.
