Traveling is for people who love freedom, independence and adventure. Luckily, I'm one of these people and I was lucky enough to win a ticket to the most beautiful and mysterious country of the world – Spain. Just imagine it with all its architecture, culture, people, future and past. Every part of this country has something unusual and unearthly.
I am a native Russian and honestly when I came to Spain, I was fascinated by its beauty. As soon as our plane landed, I went to “rent a car” company. Because in a country where summer temperatures can reach 40 degrees moving on foot is quite difficult and not practical. That's because I was going to visit all popular camping & outdoor locations. I did not have to search car for a long time. Following to the advice of my friend I went to car rental company named “RBC Europe”. Booking is easy, you just go to main page and fill in form. System will find the available car for selected date. I used 3-door Ford Fiesta, great car with manual transmission, air conditioning, by the way, on a trip, air conditioner were my best friend, because heat in Spain were incredible, also car were equipped with “GPS” (very useful). All this about car rent. I don't know how work other rental companies, but I definitely recommend you this one. My trip started at Barcelona, second biggest city in Spain after its capital – Madrid. Barcelona is 16 most visited city in the world, so after few hours I realized that I'm not the only tourist in this city. For a long time had a wish to visit the Old Town and the Gothic Quarter. After my arrival, I met very friendly guide who told me about history of this place and its secrets. I even learned that the Old City is divided into three parts and in the Gothic Quarter has preserved many evidence of the Roman presence. Few hours later I went to watch how the Olympic village looks like. I were surprised how fast moved from one place to another by a car. While I were in Barcelona I was able to visit “The Arc de Tromp”, “Santa Maria del Mar church”, “Castell del Treo Dragons”, “Sagrat Cor”, “Palau de la Music Catalan” and lot of other places. Also don't forget to visit beaches in Barcelona, it feels like in heaven with its golden sand and blue sea. Barcelona has seven beaches, so pick up any and have a good time!
Second city I visited were Madrid. If be honest, this city I liked more, because it were last place were I stayed. Of course first place I visited were the Plaza Mayor de Madrid. Great place with breathtaking architecture and view. I think i made about 1000 photos of this place. Later moved to hotel and stayed there for a night. At the morning I moved to “Puerto del Sol” (not hotel). Nice place with thousands of people and cars, but I managed to stay mobile and dynamic. While I was staying at Madrid I managed to visit such places as: “Retiro Park” (very beautiful place), “Museum National del Prado”, “Royal Palace of Madrid” and lot of different beautiful places.
In conclusion I want to say that trip was amazing. I recommend everyone to give himself a weekend that he can spend in Spain. If anyone have interested in my article, I can describe what I have seen in other Spanish cities.
