Student Friendly Pune – Best Places to Eat Cheap

Shifting to Pune for further studies? We do understand the expenses that you may have incurred to shift. Be it the booking cost for flights from Cochin to Pune, the security deposit for the PG or rental home that you'd be staying at, or the basic amenities that you need for your stay here, everything has a price. So why spend more on food, and that too when you can eat heartily within INR 200 in Pune? Don't believe us? Read ahead.

1. NCC Canteen

The spot is a the most sought after place among students in Pune, particularly when the pocket cash has depleted towards the second half of the month! This spot serves both South Indian and North Indian food, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We highly suggest this spot for you. Try not to miss the masala chai and vada paav here, particularly when you are low on money!

2. Goodluck Cafe

Goodluck Cafe, situated at its namesake Goodluck chowk amidst all the hustle bustle in the Deccan range of Pune, is not just an eatery but history! Generations after generations have been visiting this place, only for the Keema Pav and Bun-Maska, Chai. Being situated pretty near the Film Institute, this cheap diner has seen big names like Dev Anand, David Dhavan walk in through its doors since they were students. The food is excellent, and even if you have ten rupees in your pocket, the cafe will serve you with sumptuous bun maska and chai.

3. De Katta

A home-like feel that dishes out lip smacking food, this is De Katta for you. The menu guarantees a one of a kind assortment, with the sandwiches being the star of the entire show. The staff is warm andBXCZ affable and the pricing is ideal for students. Now, kid, you have no more reasons to starve or complain for bad food, isn't it?

4. Vaishali

There is always a large crowd waiting outside Vaishali on FC road. If visiting Vaishali, do try their 'world-renowned Sev Puri Dahi Puri (SPDP) and sabudana wadas here. Nobody can make sabudana wadas with coconut chutney like that, and that white margarine, or loni they add on their extraordinary dosas makes them so drool worthy, that it's a sin to continue eating that way.

5. The Burger Barn Cafe

As the name suggests, this place is famous for its burgers. The atmosphere and seating is ideal for student groups. The place is large and also has an open air seating. If you plan to visit this place, then do try their Barn Fiery Filet Burger, Salami Sandwich, Brownie Shakes and the BBQ Chicken Plate.

Now, whether you opt for the Indigo Airlines or the comparatively expensive Air India, you can always save on food bills in Pune. How? Buddy, we just suggested you the masters of cheap food in Pune. Have a pleasant stay!
