Take a Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour This Labor Day 2015

Grand Canyon Helicopters provide awesome sightseeing experiences, all year round. With Labor Day just around the corner, why not book your tickets to tour the Canyon from Las Vegas?

The great thing about taking an air tour from Las Vegas, is that you can choose from landing and air only tours. Both of these tours take the same route to the Canyon, which means you will fly over the colossal Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Of course you will end up at the highlight of the journey, the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon itself. Air tours provide impressive fly overs, while landing tours throw in a little extra for those who love adventure.

Landing Tours from Vegas

There's one Grand Canyon Helicopter tour that I recommend above all others, and that is the deluxe landing tour that leaves from the Las Vegas Strip. Deluxe tours offer extra in that you will receive a Limousine shuttle to and from your Hotel, and you will fly in the state of the art EcoStar 130 helicopter. The best landing tour is the one that lands at the bottom of the Canyon, right next to the Colorado River.

On this landing tour you will be able to toast the occasion with a Champagne picnic, and you could even upgrade your ticket to include a picturesque river boat ride.

South Rim Tours

If you're closer to Arizona, or even if you just want to experience the more remote areas of the Canyon, then you could try an air tour from Tusayan. This is just a one hour flight from Las Vegas, or you can drive to Tusayan from anywhere in Arizona.

There's a 30 minute tour which is the most inexpensive, but if you have a little extra to spend then I recommend the 50 minute tour. It goes all the way from the South Rim, to the wild North Rim, and out to the eastern boundary of the park. This is the most comprehensive South Rim Grand Canyon helicopter tour.

Although you can't land inside the Canyon, you can take an exhilarating 4×4 ground tour from Arizona. You can choose a package that includes the 30 minute air tour, with a two and a half hour Jeep tour. Seeing the sights from the ground offers a new perspective, and combined with the air tour, makes for an unforgettable experience.

Deluxe Tours

If you do choose a deluxe tour, you will be treated to the best sightseeing helicopters that are available at the Grand Canyon. These helicopters have more room inside, they have superior seating compared to older helicopters, and most importantly they have a huge panoramic viewing window that wraps 180 degrees around the front of the helicopter. They're also quiet inside and are some of the smoothest helicopters in the air. If you can get a deluxe tour ticket, then you shouldn't even think twice.

Grand Canyon Helicopters on Labor Day

The Labor Day weekend, from September 5 – 7, is the last three day weekend of the year. This makes it one of the busiest times of the year for Grand Canyon Helicopters. If you're planning to fly on Labor Day, then I recommend that you book early. Booking now would be best, but at the very least, make sure you book before the week beginning August 24. This will ensure that you get tickets for the days you want to fly. Book online to confirm you seats and make a significant saving in booking fees, too.

Make This the Best Labor Day Yet

Grand Canyon Helicopters offer the best sights of the Grand Canyon National Park. The fact that you can combine your ticket with landing or ground based tours, means that there is plenty of flexibility to plan the adventure of a lifetime.

Remember to book your air tours early, and to book online. The Grand Canyon is a place like no other. See it in style with helicopter tours from Las Vegas, Nevada, or Tusayan, Arizona.
