The 3 Best Grand Canyon Bus Tours From Las Vegas

Summer has arrived, and that means it's time to plan your next vacation. If you love adventure, then you will love a bus tour from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. I know that some people can have a hard time choosing from the numerous tour packages that are available, so I've put together this quick list of my top three tours, representing the best value and experience that can be had at the Canyon.

South Rim Bus Tour

This tour goes all the way to the South Rim in Arizona, and it even includes a helicopter tour that goes to the remote and mysterious North Rim. You will also fly through the largest section of the Canyon – The Dragoon Corridor. The helicopter tour is around 30 minutes long, and it really adds to the adventure with this package.

West Rim Tour with Helicopter and Boat Ride

This tour is easily amongst the best that you can get at the West Rim, and personally, it is my runner up when it comes to the best Grand Canyon tours. The bus will take you out to the West Rim, where you can board a helicopter and ride to the bottom of the Canyon. You can only land within the Canyon at the West Rim, so this is an experience that you won't find anywhere else. Once at the bottom, you can board a river boat for some extra adventure on the Colorado River. If you have time left over, you can also explore the lookout points at the top of the Canyon, before heading back to Vegas on the bus.

West Rim Grand Canyon Skywalk Tour

I've toured the Canyon extensively, and I can say that the Skywalk is by far the best attraction at the West Rim. It's a magnificent glass and steel platform that will give you the sensation of standing on air, as you are almost 4000ft above the bottom of the canyon, and around 70ft over the edge. The transparent floor is something that just needs to be experienced, and you won't find anything else like this, no matter where you travel. That's why my favorite bus tour is the one that includes a ticket to the Skywalk, and because it's a VIP ticket, you will have priority in the waiting line, which is essential on hot summer days.

More About the Bus Tours

You shouldn't have to think about additional costs and fees when you're planning a vacation, which is why these all-inclusive tours are so great. You pay for everything up front and then all you have to worry about is having fun. Make sure that you book your tickets online, because this is the only way to ensure that you get the lowest price. Book in advance because the later you leave it, the more the prices will inflate. It's a good idea to book as soon as you've confirmed your Las Vegas hotel accommodation.

Tours pickup from all major hotels along the Las Vegas Strip, and you will need to set a whole day aside for your journey. Make sure you're ready by 6AM for a 7AM departure, and you should be back at your hotel by around 9PM in the evening.

Conclusion

Now that you know about the best bus tours at the Grand Canyon, it's time to start booking one! Remember to book early, and use your credit card to book online. Choose the South Rim if you want to see more remote areas of the Canyon, or go for the West Rim if you want the excitement of a landing helicopter tour, or the Grand Canyon Skywalk. I know you'll have a great time exploring one of nature's most famous monuments, and there's no other summer tour location that is quite like it.
