The Fantastic Galicia

The beautiful holiday destination

Galicia is one of the most famous holiday destinations in Spain and at the same time, one of the most popular. It is extremely picturesque, an area of the country that you will simply love. The region became famous as the one that hosts the 1000 rivers, as it is bathed by more rivers than the rest of Spain. The charming Santiago de Compostela is its city capital and the four provinces that form it have dozens and dozens of attractions for visitors from all the corners of the world. Once you step on its lands, you'll soon realize that Galicia is the type of place in Spain that really has anything you want to offer: large, green spaces, a wonderful climate, idyllic orchards, lush meadows, picturesque villages, impressive customs and traditions, delicious local food. How can one not fall in love with something like this? You will also feel attracted by the coastal areas which form impressive contrasts with the rest of the beaches in Spain: they look like nothing you have ever seen before. Tourists are amazed to find out the fact that no less than 105 beaches have been designated the European Blue Flag for the quality of the services and the facilities they offer, so you can now easily understand why Galicia is such a wonderful place in Spain.

Other attractions

Besides the outstanding natural landscapes, Galicia also has a series of cities and towns that deserve your attention. O.Grove is one of the prettiest places you can visit in Galicia, as it is an old fishing village where the traditions and the customs of this fantastic country managed to survive. Fresh seafood dishes are extremely popular in O.Grove, so you have to enter one of its restaurants if you decide to visit it. Santiago de Compostela is the largest and at the same time the most visited city in Galicia, as it occupies an important place on the religious map of the pilgrims who sit Spain; the Santiago Cathedral represents the final point in the two weeks' long Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.

Galicia and the accommodation

There are hundreds of hotels spread all over Galicia, but the beautiful San Francisco Monumento is definitely one of those that should be taken into consideration by you; Hotel Compostela is another one that should be on your list when you search for accommodation, as the services are excellent. You have to visit Galicia at least once in your lifetime: it is spectacular!
