The Festive Village of Arroyo Grande

Arroyo Grande is a small, quaint town along California's central coast. It is a sort of tucked away hidden jewel of a town, and a jewel it is. Arroyo Grande has a rich and authentic history that shows through in everything from it's scenic Americana village to it's traditional annual events. This small town is one of the most festive places when it comes to seasonal activities. For those who enjoy community centric activities throughout the year, Arroyo Grande is a great place to visit.

Summer makes for an incredible time in Arroyo Grande, especially for families. Each year there's a weekly concert series in the park where people can come out and have a relaxing Sunday. Some of the wineries have events throughout the summer where you can relax, sip wine, and enjoy live shows. One of the biggest and longest running events in Arroyo Grande is the annual Strawberry Festival. For the past 34 years, Arroyo Grande kicks off the summer on Memorial Day weekend in the village with this lively festival. At this event you can stop by vendors and taste delicious strawberry treats from pies to pastries. But it isn't just about the food. There's dozens of local dancers, jazz musicians, and other performers as well as prizes and carnival rides.

If you're a fan of live performances, you will want to check out the Clark Center for the Performing for world class concerts, plays, musicals, and comedy shows in an intimate setting. During the holidays, the Clarke Center is a great place to enjoy traditional plays done by both professionals and local school organizations.

What better place to celebrate California Wine month in September than in Arroyo Grande? Arroyo Grande and surrounding hills have over a dozen wineries where you can visit to taste and purchase carefully crafted wines. Some of the wineries have delightful tasting rooms where you can sample a variety of their wines with friends and loved ones.
