The National Tiger Reserve at Ramnagar is Drawing Maximum Tourists For Uttarakhand

For people visiting Uttarakhand for a holiday, Ramnagar is always a part of must visit places. The small town is nestled in the foothills of Himalayas, with Cosy river flowing throwing the lap. Apart from the natural magnificence, Ramnagar proudly hosts one of the biggest Tiger reserve in the country – the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Although the luxury resorts in Jim Corbett Ramnagar offer all inclusive tours and safaris to the national park but the Corbett Tiger Reserve itself, has employed dedicated team of hospitality experts who manage and organize jungle safaris that cover enormous land covered in the reserve. The national wildlife park has streamlined the entire jungle in six different zones which are known as – Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, Sonanadi, Durgadevi and last, Dhela. These zones are also popular as ecotourism zone, created to benefit the visiting experience of the tourists.

The board looking after the management of the tiger reserve, superintend the visiting time all around the year, depending on the weather conditions, of course. For example, the safari ecotourism zones of Dhikala Safari zone is open in November. Whereas, the Durga Devi and Bijrani Zone in the month of October. Talking about the Jhirna and Dhela zones are open for the most time of the year.

Budget resorts in Jim Corbett Uttrakhand have exclusive access passes to these six different ecotourism zones of the tiger reserve. Monitored under the watchful eye of the administering committee, these passes allows the resorts to take their tourists and customers through the separate entry gates.

The strict Monitoring Rules

The tiger reserve has visitor centres set-up, which act as guiding body to accommodate tourist friendly visits. Not any private vehicle – two wheeler, four wheeler or any six wheeler is allowed to enter the perimeter of the tiger reserve. Selected and prior-identified jeeps, patrolling or safari vehicles are allowed during the day and night. Passes are generally available at the visitors' centers but can also be obtained online, through website.

Other features offered Elephant Ride

You can also call it an elephant safari, which tourists and visitors can enjoy in the mornings and early evenings. The ecotourism zones of Dhikala, Khinnanauli, Bijrani, Gairal and Jhirna allow elephant safari. The thrilling rides allow a closer view of the divergent flora and fauna, abundant landscape and lush green jungle with wildlife.

Documentaries, books and fire camp lodging

Besides safari, sightseeing, tourists can also take an insightful peek in to the wildlife, especially the endangered species of tiger through special screenings of the documentaries. The library is stocked with literary insight.
