The Pushkar Fair – A Fair With Flashes Of Light In India

1. One of the main reason is to attract local camel and cattle traders to this place for trading practices during the Holy Kartik Purnima festival, around the full moon in the Hindu lunar month of Kartika.
2. The other reason is for religious purpose – people from faraway places come for Pilgrimage to take a dip in the holy water of the Pushkar Lake and pray to Lord Brahma. It is said that those who bathe during full moon they receive special blessings from the Gods.

Time and place where it takes place: – Pushkar Fair is held over a period of 5 days in the town of Pushkar, begins in the Month of Kartik and ends on the Kartik Purnima Day.
