Things to do on Med Cruises

Med cruises are of course a great opportunity to see the Mediterranean – they are scenic, they provide warm weather and there are loads of great places to stop out and have a look around. Many of these will be beaches which let you sit in the shade on a deckchair and drink a cool drink – making it the perfect way to relax and to get a bit of sea and sand.

However the rest of the time you will be spending on the boat. That's not a bad thing though and with Med cruises you can even enjoy the sun on the boat – as well as many other outdoor and indoor activities. If you were wondering what to do on your Med cruises while sailing, here we will look at a few of the options available to you.

Get a Tan: As mentioned the great thing about Med cruises is the fact that you will be out in the sun. This then means you can be topping up your tan while you are floating around the Mediterranean sea. There are bound to be deck chairs available and so long as you get up early enough you should be able to bag yourself one.

Have a Swim: There should be a swimming pool on your Med cruise, so why not make the most of this and go for a swim up and down the pool or doing laps and that way get into shape? You'll be in the sun at the same time and it will help you to burn off the calories. Of course you can also forego the pool and if the boat is stopped have a try at swimming in the sea for a different experience.

Join in the Games: On most Med cruises you will find an entertainment crew putting on a vast range of activities and games that they try and get the whole boat involved in. If you join in you'll find it's great competitive fun and also a really good way to meet people and to again get into shape.

Have Some Food: Most Med cruises also have stunning buffets, and you should be able to help yourself to the food whenever you wish. So if you're feeling peckish why not go and sample some of that delicious food?

Watch the Sea: It's hardly an activity as such, but the choppy waves lapping against the boat as you cut through them are fascinating to watch and almost hypnotic – whether you're in your cabin or standing on the end of the boat. When you're in the middle of the ocean this is one of the few times you can see for so far in all directions without something blocking you line of site – make use of this!

Read a Book: You don't need to be on a cruise in order to enjoy a good book but it certainly helps – on Med cruises you get a break from all of your normal responsibilities and this way you are able to get the time to yourself you need to catch up on your reading – make sure to pack some good ones!
