Forgetting important stuff in a hotel room is common. Even most travelers have a story about their lost items. Just this summer my family returned from Mumbai and I searched for my mobile chargers, then I realized that I forget the charger somewhere in my hotel room. Luckily, that was only a charger, but what if I forget some important stuff in the hotel room. This can cause the major problem. • Check the electrical outlets
Most hotels have electrical outlets near bed and sofa, but some old constructed hotels might have the electrical outlets at some really odd place, so you may forget your charger there. • Check under the sheets, bed and sofa
There is a possibility that you might hide something important under the sheets or throw by mistake under your bed. We all pack things that are visible to us and forget about the hidden stuff. When you have many days of travelling, you forget about the stuffs you have used in shower area. So before leaving the hotel room, always recheck the bathroom and specially shower area.
• Check the closet
Closet is another place where your important belongings get hidden. You might pack your all clothes while leaving the room, but what about other stuff like passport, book or accessories. You may totally forget your important stuff in the drawer of the closet, so make sure to check the closet twice and pack all your essentials. Realizing that you forget the your important belongings in the hotel room will make you miserable.
• Give tip to the housekeeper
Housekeepers always take good care of you, while you stay at the hotel. They clean your room and keep it managed, so when you are paying the expensive bill, it is your duty to give a nice tip to housekeeping staff that was assisting you. Trust me it will really make the housekeeping staff happy and the next time you will visit the same hotel, the same housekeeping staff will assist you with better care and management of your room.
