Three Places to Visit in Ajmer

Dargah Sharif is the place that gives the best identity to Ajmer, one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Being located in Rajasthan, this is a place that drags tourists from India as well as from foreign nation. It is considered to be one of the sacred destinations in Rajasthan because of Dargah Sharif, the famous mosque which is worshipped by the people of every community with great faith and belief.

The city was established by the Chauhan ruler Shakambhari Chahamana in the 12th century. As the city is well connected with rail and road, hence this religious city of Rajasthan is one amongst the most explored locations. Other than this, the only Brahma Temple in the world which is situated in Pushkar is also located only few miles away from the city. The devotion and dedication is what makes it an attractive location of the royal state of India. If you happen to be here, then here are the three places that you must visit in Ajmer.

Ajmer Sharif Dargah: The tomb of Sufi Saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti which is commonly called as Ajmer Sharif Dargah is India's one of the most popular and famous pilgrimage center which is visited by people of all the religious beliefs. For the Muslims of South Asia this place is no less than Mecca or Medina. As per the historical stories it was believed that Akbar the Great used to visit the Dargah Sharif every year.

Adhai Din Ka Jhopda: Being situated in the outskirts of the city and only few miles away from the Dargah Sharif, this is a historical place here that you should not miss out. This place is significantly known for its chef-d'oeuvre of Indo-Islamic architecture.

Ana Sagar Lake: A beautiful manmade lake situated 5 kilometers away from city is something you must visit to catch the picturesque view in your eyes and also in your camera lenses if you are here. The place is definitely a worth-visiting here that would justify the peace and sanity of this religious city.

Ajmer is definitely, a very beautiful and attractive location of Rajasthan. Visiting only Dargah Sharif here is not the best thing you can get here. Explore the other beautiful places that would make your travel much special and prominent too.
